The Ultimate Guide to…

You’ll see the headline “The Ultimate Guide to…” a lot online. One of the reasons is that it works in terms of getting traffic, and I believe that’s because people have had good experiences with it. If there are disappointing “ultimate guides” around, I suspect few of us ever find them. I just don’t think many reputable organisations would put their name to any content titled “The Ultimate Guide to…” unless it was something they thought was pretty comprehensive.

So the question is: what could any of us write an “Ultimate Guide to…”? Maybe it should just be the title of our big article at the centre of the topic cluster method, which I mentioned last week.
