Those of us posting content to social media services, or to sites like LinkedIn, may have preferred times to do this – or at least, we may want to publish content at a different time to when we create it. If that’s the case, a social media management tool is the answer.
Many of these are free, and there’s a good list here on the Wordstream blog. The best known is probably Hootsuite, but there are interesting alternatives.
Mentioned in the article, but more of a general purpose tool, is Zapier, a product that allows users to integrate web applications and automate tasks. For example, I use it to update LinkedIn with new content posted on a website. Zapier can work in conjunction with social media management tools to offer even more control.
