Browser extensions continue to be an increasing area of usefulness. In Our Favorite (sic) Chrome Extensions of 2021 on the Official Google Blog, there’s a great list. Even if you’re not a user of Chrome or extension-compatible browsers such as Vivaldi, Opera, Brave or Edge, it can be worth installing one of them just for the occasions where you could use these extensions.
Loom, for example, allows us to record our screen, voice, and face to create an instantly shareable video “in less time than it would take to type an email.” Watch a video about it here. It’s not the only extension which is really a fully-featured separate application that just becomes a browser option.
There are also extensions to improve the web experience. Stylus is a ‘user-style manager’ which allows themes and skins to be installed for many popular sites; in other words, giving us the chance to redesign our favourite websites.
The world of extensions is well worth exploring , and these are just a start.
