Things change. Does your website?

Yesterday I mentioned why our websites should all be built around identifying what people want, and delivering it to them efficiently. Obvious stuff, of course, although something most of us mess up.

However, identifying what people want isn’t an exercise which can be done every few years. It’s something that constantly evolves. There might be a new application identified. There might be an event on that people want to find out about.

That’s why I cannot understand business websites that have a home page that stays the same for years on end. And there are plenty of them. The first things any visitor should see are the current most important requirements of customers. And these will change. Constantly.
