The long-awaited major updates to the Google search results are swinging into play, and there’s a lot of commentary online. More changes are expected next month too. I hope you’ve been recording positions in key searches so that you can track any changes, but failing that, just looking in Search Console at the traffic sent from individual searches should prove interesting.
This post suggests that not getting to the point and answering the question isn’t going down as well as it did with Google. That’s a shame, because sometimes an entertaining or interestingly-written article is preferable to a dry encyclopaedic one.
But then again, giving users the answer they want as quickly as possible is supposed to be Google’s premise, so we shouldn’t be surprised.
