Here’s a neat little tool to make a note of. IsItWP’s Headline Analyzer tool “helps you write headlines that drive traffic, shares and rank better in search results”. Of course, no general bit of machine assessment can truly sort you out with a killer headline, but some of the recommendations I’ve had from it have been very sensible and were worth acting on. The headline above scored 82%, which sounds quite good; suggestions included adding more sentiment and emotion, which seems fair. Best of all, the tool is free and couldn’t be simpler to use. Worth bookmarking if you sometimes find yourself in need of inspiration.
