Back to the future

I read an interesting think-piece on a company blog the other day which made me think about why it had engaged me so much. It was just some speculation as to the future of the company’s industry, and of course how well-placed the company’s technology was to meet that future. I did some research, and found a lot of PR and writing blogs reporting on the success of this style of article at the moment, both in terms of reader response and online media pickup. So I’m just throwing this out there as a suggestion: if you’re responsible for a blog or other news content for your company website (or getting coverage in the press), have you got someone who could write about where the market is heading, or how technology is changing? You don’t have to crowbar in the pandemic.

There does seem to be an appetite for this at the moment.
