‘Dwell time’ and SEO

There’s a good article on the Hubspot blog explaining why they think Dwell Time is the SEO Metric You Need to Track. Dwell time is “the amount of time a user spends on a web page before clicking back to search results.” If a web page has a low dwell time, it’s likely that the page didn’t match the user’s search intent.

Of course, we don’t know how long people spend before trying another result – only the search engines know that. But it’s obvious that it’s an important metric. SEO isn’t just about getting people to your site; your content needs to do its job. I’ll let you give the article a read.
