As you’re doubtless aware, slow page speed (especially on mobile devices) can really hurt your Google rankings and traffic. To test the speed, we can fire up the Google PageSpeed Insights tool and see what it says.
But what does the score mean? How slow is ‘slow’? These things are relative, so take a look at the scores for the competitors who are doing best for key searches. If they’re ranking well, they’re presumably not suffering page speed-related ranking problems, so that’s a target to aim for.
