I recently read about an advertising agency which spent half a million dollars to buy a blog which generated no income. It did this because it was confident that the blog’s traffic was sufficiently large that enough visitors could be converted into potential clients to justify the price.
Obviously this was a speculative and brave move, but it shows how much website traffic can be worth if you can turn visitors into customers. This means that you need to be really good at pitching your business to website visitors and persuading them to make enquiries.
You may not have as much data or A-B testing results, but take inspiration from what these sorts of people are doing, and resolve to make your own website ‘convert’ as strongly. After all, visitors to your site are probably just as interested in your products as visitors to the advertising agency’s site are to its products.
