Google Trends is an interesting tool, which can be more useful in business marketing than you’d think. While it’s unlikely that you’re involved in a market where the volume of searches is going to make trending headlines on a search engine, if you start exploring around some relevant terms to your business, you can often find unrelated topics which are getting serious search volumes. For example, one of our clients discovered that there was a new video game whose title happened to be a search they were targeting. Time to walk away from that one.
The ‘related queries’ section can also provide some interesting information, including alternative terminology. Take a look.
