We’ve always put a lot of effort into supporting our clients’ SEO efforts (just as a free part of the service), and we’ve got a big upgrade coming in the regular reports we provide for them. Our weekly report on the search engine ranking of key search terms provided for each client will be joined by a whole set of useful reports from Google Analytics, Search Console and other sources.
One of these reports will monitor the external sites linking to each of our clients. To do this, we’ll be using data from the likes of Moz.com and Majestic to assess the links. However, you don’t need to use our service to get a glimpse of this information. Check out your site at Majestic’s Site Explorer for some revealing data.
In particular, it’s interesting to see the ‘Trust Flow’ and ‘Citation Flow’ of different sites, which is what we’ll be reporting to our clients. Trust Flow is a score from 0-100 based on site quality. Majestic explains that it “collated many trusted seed sites based on a manual review of the web. This process forms the foundation of Majestic Trust Flow. Sites closely linked to a trusted seed site can see higher scores, whereas sites that may have some questionable links would see a much lower score.”
Meanwhile, Citation Flow is a measure of the ‘link equity’ of a website and predicts how influential a URL might be based on how many sites link to it. As Majestic says: “Links are not all created with equal weight!”
