There are some new management features in Google Analytics to do with managing users. They’re discussed here and here. While investigating them, however, it reminded me to remind you to always keep on top of who has access to company services such as website analytics, PPC advertising, etc. When I brought together a whole bunch of accounts I manage in this way, and looked at the list of users which it produced, I was horrified. There were two names which jumped out who I hadn’t worked with for years, and the system told me that one of them had accessed the Google Analytics account this month! So if you run accounts such Google Analytics or Google AdWords, do make a point of taking two minutes now to look at the user list, and ensure that you know who everyone is – and that you’re happy for them to continue to have access.
