Here’s an interesting new site you might like if you’re in charge of a blog or if you produce brochures, white papers etc and are often skimp on the illustrative material to keep down costs. Freerangestock.com is an interesting library of stock photography with no restrictions on where you can use the images, and no requirement to credit or link back to the source.
How does it work? It appears that any contributing photographers do so for the publicity, and a share of the site’s advertising revenue, although the site has its own in-house photographers too. As a user, all you have to do is set up a free account, which involves just name and email. The images are decent, and high resolution, although they’re accessed just through search, so you need to think a bit. However, it’s an interesting venture, and a useful resource.
