Never let your prospects go

If someone fills in a form on your website, is there a pop-up box or a new page which says “Thank You”? If someone signs up for your email newsletter, do they get an automated email which confirms their request has been received? Are using these opportunities to your advantage? Think about it: a prospect has just asked for something, and you’ve just demonstrated your competence by delivering it to them and acknowledging the fact. What a great time to introduce them to something else you might have to offer. “Thanks for requesting our latest catalogue, which we’ll get into the post to you as soon as possible. In the meantime, why not sign up to receive our free regular email newsleter with regular hints and tips of interest to all widget users?”
