LinkedIn joins the news personalisation trend

I doubt it’s going to change the world, but LinkedIn Today is an interesting new service, claimed to be another “tailored news page”. It’s going to amalgamate news stories which are being shared widely, news stories which are being shared in a particular sector of your choice, and news stories which are being shared by your LinkedIn contacts, which should, I guess, make it personal to you. Not a bad idea, but there are plenty of other ways of doing this, and others, like, are probably ahead of the game. Personalised news services are the future, and it’ll be interesting to see who works out the best way of doing things.
