To see ourselves as others see us

A bit of fun for a Friday morning, but with some serious undercurrent. Take a screenshot of your website* and upload it to The site will, apparently, use artificial intelligence to simulate human vision during the first five seconds of viewing your page. Whether it’s accurate or not, it does give you an idea of what people probably do, and it’s almost certain that they don’t just look down the page in the linear order you expect them to. Do the places they see first actually tell them the story you want them to be told?

*In Windows, hold down Alt and press “Print Screen”; open Paint, paste and save as JPEG. On a Mac, hold Shift-cmd and press 4, then hit the spacebar and click with the mouse.
