Are you harnessing Google Alerts?

I’ve been using Google Alerts for such a long time now, that I think I’ve been taking this excellent reporting service for granted.

I use it to monitor all sorts of subject matters (work and personal – Morrissey of course included in the latter!).

It’s ideal for monitoring PR – if you want to easily check what is being published about your company online. Plus, you can easily watch your competitors, or simply monitor a technology or process. Basically, if it’s online you can monitor via Google Alerts.

And if you need some guidance, as always Google provide a page or two to give you a helping hand.

What you’ll receive (you can specify when you want them) are email updates of the latest relevant Google results, based on your queries.

You simply enter a search query you wish to monitor.

Try it out – even if it’s only to monitor your favourite football team! (By the way, as with most things Google – it’s free!)
