Two free seminars for marketing managers
Chris Rand writes:
I’m delighted to announce that we will be hosting two free seminars here at Business Marketing Online (BMON) in a few weeks’ time, presented by yours truly. If you’re responsible for marketing at a small- to medium-sized industrial or scientific company, I think you’ll find them a highly worthwhile day away from the office. To start with I’m only announcing them to our An Article A Day readers, and this blog.
We have just 20 places at each event, so you will need to reserve yours quickly.
The first seminar, How to make your website punch above your weight, is aimed at you if you’re a smaller industrial and scientific company, in control of your own website and wanting to develop it into a much harder-working asset.
The second, How to get customer enquiries back to 1990 levels, is for you if you’re a medium-sized industrial and scientific company with an advertising budget, and want to find out how the smartest people in the business are converting that budget into large numbers of name-and-address sales enquiries.
Both will be held in Letchworth, Hertfordshire, just off the A1.
Here are the full details:
EVENT 1:
How to make your website punch above your weight
A free seminar for smaller industrial and scientific companies by
Chris Rand of Business Marketing Online – Friday 26 February, 10am.
In the industrial and scientific sector, your customers look no
further than the web for suppliers. But most larger industrial and
scientific companies have made a really unimpressive job of their
online presence. As smaller competitors, you still have every chance
to establish yourself as one of the best-known names. This is not
about big budgets. It’s about being smarter, faster and more
efficient. And that’s something your company is already.
Chris Rand will show you:
- How to transform your website beyond being a corporate brochure
- How to look as professional as the big companies
- How to make your website better than those from the big companies
- How to create a website you’ll want to add to continually
- How to automatically get decent Google rankings for your pages
- How to reach out using email, RSS and Twitter
None of this requires tens of thousands of pounds, nor does it require
you to be an IT expert. All it needs is a desire to improve your
company’s marketing.
The morning session will be followed by a complementary buffet lunch,
and an optional afternoon session looking at delegates’ existing
websites. To reserve a place at the seminar, please sign up here.
EVENT 2:
How to get customer enquiries back to 1990 levels
A free seminar for medium-sized industrial and scientific companies by
Chris Rand of Business Marketing Online – Friday 5 March, 10am.
Remember the days when a £500 advert got you 30, 40 or 50 enquiries
every time? Chris Rand does – he was Editor of an engineering magazine
which produced those sorts of results regularly. But how do you get
sales enquiries that cheaply in the industrial and scientific sectors,
20 years on? The answer, as many companies have found out, is to use a
combination of search engine advertising and dedicated web pages which
convert the interest into name-and-address enquiries. This is
something which any go-ahead marketing department can do.
Chris Rand will show you:
- How to create a Google AdWords campaign which works
- How to identify the paid-for traffic which is really worth paying for
- How to create a landing page which converts well
- How to make the two work efficiently together
None of this requires a marketing budget stretching to tens of
thousands of pounds a year, nor does it require you to be an IT
expert. All it needs is a desire to improve your company’s marketing.
The morning session will be followed by a complementary buffet lunch,
and an optional afternoon session where we’ll actually set up a Google
AdWords campaign and a landing page. To reserve a place at the
seminar, please sign up here.
