A few postings ago I mentioned email newsgroups and what a great resource they are. Confirmed this week when I posted a request for help on the Milton Keynes Media Circle.
Now, you’re probably asking yourself why someone based in the Highlands is a member of a newsgroup over 600 miles away. Well, before starting my business here in the far north I was based in Milton Keynes (for 15 years), and was a member during that time. I retained business links in the Milton Keynes area, and continued with my membership, thankfully!
So, back to my posting this week – preferred venues in the area (The Energy Room and Bletchley Park) were fully booked, I needed to find an alternative – so I thought I’d turn to the group.
I wasn’t disappointed – I now have a great list of venue details in the area – which I thought I’d share with you.
If you’re looking for a venue for a conference, meeting, workshop, etc, etc, and you want somewhere, out of London, with easy road/rail links, and NOT in a hotel, then take a look down this list – there’s something to suit all budgets and requirements:

Milton Keynes Media Circle is a networking group for people working in the fields of marketing, media, public relations and associated professions and industries, in and near the new city of Milton Keynes, UK.
The Circle was formed in January 1993 and met monthly for over ten years before becoming a virtual association in November 2004. Networking now takes place via an online e-group.
