Electrical safety testing equipment meets the needs of a wide range of industries
Seaward Group is a UK based manufacturer of test and measurement instruments. A series of product ranges meet the electrical safety testing needs of a wide range of industries including manufacturing, utilities, aerospace, health and safety, medical and leisure.
Seaward has been producing portable appliance testers since 1982 and continues to develop innovative, handheld PAT testers which now incorporate up-to-the-minute technologies such as Bluetooth. As well as portable appliance testers, Seaward manufactures a unique multifunction installation tester which as revolutionised the fixed wiring test and inspection procedures by automatically storing test results onto a certificate within the tester.
Seaward has acquired the Clare Instruments and Cropico businesses and now offer ranges of hipot testers, ohmmeters, wiring analysers, comprehensive testers and precision temperature measurement devices to meet the requirements for quality testing during manufacturing, and offer precise measurement instruments for both temperature and low resistance values.
Another range of product which Seaward are proud to manufacture in the Co. Durham manufacturing facility is the Rigel Medical range of electrical safety testers and simulator for use in the medical industries. The philosophy behind this range of products is to offer faster, smarter, smaller solutions for medical device testing. Leading products within the range include the Rigel 288 electrical safety analyser, the UNI-Sim vital signs simulator and the BP-Sim NIBP simulator.
In addition to manufacturing, Seaward is also a calibration house, capable of repairing and calibrating most brands and models of test and measurement equipment. A new on-site calibration service has been introduced whereby our experienced calibration engineers will calibrate test equipment at the premises where they are functioning. This service eradicates the need for costly and risky shipping of large or multiple test instruments.
